Although we are one day late in sharing this on the blog for technical reaons, the Kingdom of Boralani was filled with joy and gratitude yesterday as we celebrated the birthday of His Majesty the King Tui Maretasi II on June 15.

In Boralani, the King’s Birthday is more than just a national holiday — it is a day that brings our entire island community together in appreciation for his steady leadership, wisdom, and deep commitment to our shared future.
A Leader Guided by Mana Boralani
Under His Majesty’s guidance, Boralani continues to advance our Boralani 2050 Sustainable Development Vision. From expanding solar and wind micro-grids to protecting our coral reefs and supporting eco-tourism that benefits local families, the King has always placed the well-being of our people and our environment first.
His emphasis on self-reliance, cultural preservation, and thoughtful progress reminds us daily what it means to live with Mana Boralani — true guardianship of these beautiful islands.
How We Celebrated
Communities across the islands marked the occasion with:
- Traditional music and dancing in the villages
- Special gatherings and feasts featuring local favorites like Grilled Spam & Pineapple Skewers and Coconut Milk Poached Fish at the Koroma Bar & Grill
- School programs where children shared stories about Boralani’s history and bright future
- Quiet moments of reflection and thanks at sunset
Even our small number of eco-tourism guests were warmly invited to join the festivities, experiencing firsthand the strong sense of unity that defines our nation.
Looking Forward
As we move past this joyful day, we carry the King’s vision with us. His leadership inspires us to keep building a resilient, self-sufficient, and proud Boralani for generations to come.
Thank you, Your Majesty, for your continued service and love for our islands. May you enjoy many more healthy and happy years!
Long live the King!
