The Kingdom of Boralani is pleased to announce its intention to participate in Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, from May to August 2027.
World Expositions bring together nations from across the globe to share ideas, culture, innovation, and national experiences. While large countries often arrive with impressive displays of technology and industry, smaller nations have an opportunity to tell a different story: who they are, how they live, and what they value.
The theme of Expo 2027 is “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.” It is a theme that resonates strongly with Boralani. Music and sport have long played an important role in island life. They bring communities together, connect generations, and strengthen the bonds that hold society together.
Boralani’s participation will focus on the everyday life of the Kingdom and the traditions that continue to shape our national character. Visitors will be introduced to our maritime heritage, community celebrations, choral music, and the role of sport in villages and towns across the islands.
The pavilion will feature exhibits on traditional navigation, canoe craftsmanship, and the history of Boralani’s relationship with the ocean. Music will also be prominently represented through recordings and performances inspired by the Kingdom’s rich choral traditions, including the work of the Ariki Choir, the Passage Band, and other community groups.
Rather than presenting itself simply as a tourist destination, Boralani hopes to share something more meaningful: an understanding of life in a small Pacific island nation. The Kingdom’s story is one of community, resilience, s, culture, and a continuing commitment to preserving traditions while embracing the future.
Expo 2027 will also provide an opportunity for Boralani to strengthen friendships with other nations and to learn from the experiences of countries large and small. In an increasingly connected world, such exchanges are valuable reminders that every nation has something to contribute to the global conversation.
As preparations begin, the Government looks forward to working with cultural organizations, artists, musicians, athletes, educators, and community groups to ensure that Boralani is represented with dignity and authenticity.
