Official Statement on the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America

On behalf of His Majesty King Tui Maretasi II, the Government and the people of the Kingdom of Boralani extend our warmest congratulations to the Government and the people of the United States of America as they celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
For two and a half centuries, the United States has played a significant role in the advancement of democratic institutions, scientific achievement, economic development, and international cooperation. Its history has been marked by remarkable accomplishments, as well as the continual effort to fulfill the principles upon which the nation was founded.
Although separated by the vast Pacific Ocean, the United States and Boralani share enduring ties through friendship, commerce, education, maritime cooperation, and the many personal connections between our peoples. The United States has long been an important partner throughout the Pacific region, contributing to disaster preparedness, public health, fisheries management, maritime security, and educational exchange.
This anniversary is an opportunity not only to commemorate the past, but also to look forward with confidence. The Government of Boralani expresses its hope that the friendship between our two nations will continue to deepen in the years ahead, founded upon mutual respect, shared interests, and a commitment to peace and prosperity throughout the Pacific.
As Americans celebrate this historic milestone, the people of Boralani join them in honoring the generations whose vision, dedication, and service have shaped the United States over the past 250 years.
